What makes them special: Deep inside the mountain, enormous chambers give way to narrow passageways, while stalactites hang dramatically from the ceilings. The sheer scale of the caves is difficult to imagine until you see a person standing beside their towering walls and columns. One of the most remarkable features is a gigantic rock column formed when a stalactite and a stalagmite joined together. It was recognized by Guinness World Records as the largest cave column in the world.

A special highlight: A professional photoshoot inside the caves is almost impossible because it’s simply too dark. However, not far from the caves, right in Nerja, there’s a beautiful spot with breathtaking sea views and crystal-clear water, known as the Balcony of Europe.
