DON’T MISS NEARBY
Málaga’s main cathedral, surrounded by the historic streets of the old town and located just a short distance from the sea and the modern port.
What the point? The heart of the city is dominated by an impressive cathedral, surrounded by buildings and streets in warm ochre and terracotta tones, bathed in sunshine. Bright flowers and orange trees add splashes of color to the historic surroundings. The cathedral is also known as La Manquita, meaning “The One-Armed,” because its southern tower was never completed.
A special highlight: Don’t miss Plaza del Obispo - a charming square in front of Málaga Cathedral, known for its elegant baroque architecture, and also Ancient Roman ruins dating back to the 1st century BC, located at the foot of the Alcazaba.
